Training Policies
Training Policies
ITTS, Inc. reserves the right to refuse training to anyone. We reserve the right to insist that a student leave our training if any member of our staff determines that a student’s conduct is unfit to remain in the class.
Safety
Safety is strictly enforced on our range. Any student not following safety rules or whom we deem unsafe will be asked to leave the range. There will be no refund provided.
When you attend a class, you will be taught the safest method of training. You will be taught all the core principles of firearms safety with a strong staff to student ratio. When you attend a class at ITTS, you put your trust in us and we earn that trust by delivering safe and practical training. Since 1990, ITTS maintains an unblemished safety record.
ITTS will not provide training under any circumstances to anyone who has any felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, restraining orders placed against them or has ever been adjudicated as mentally ill or committed to any mental health facility.
Rescheduling & Refunds
Please be sure the training you sign up for works for your schedule and make the commitment to be there!
WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS. If you have a scheduling conflict, we will be happy to work with you to find an alternate date for training. There will be a $50 rescheduling fee assessed if you reschedule your class.
We understand that people have busy lives and sometimes need to make a schedule change. However, please understand that our staff, equipment and many other resources needed to conduct training for our students are planned according to expected attendance. Additionally, last minute reschedules or no-shows make it very hard for us to allow someone else to take your spot on such short notice.
If you need to reschedule a class you can pay the $50 rescheduling fee and move your class date to another class date within 1 year from the original date of purchase, as long as you notify us and reschedule at least ONE WEEK (7 days) in advance. Those who do not provide at least ONE WEEK of notice or do not show up at class will lose their class tuition.
If you have a true medical emergency, we ask that you please provide us with documentation.
Liability Waivers
Everyone attending training is required to sign two online liability waivers in advance. The first is an ITTS training waiver and the second is a waiver for the range that we will be using for instruction. These waivers are available online for viewing and will also be provided to students via email ahead of class. Both waivers must be completed online no less than 96 hours (4 days) from the training start time on the first day of scheduled training with ITTS, Inc.
Age Limits
15-17 years*: May attend a private lesson with a parent or guardian (no group classes) and may only shoot firearms owned by the parent or guardian. This is not training like an adult would receive, it’s about firearms safety, safe gun handling and marksmanship. Please note that this is at our discretion, and we ask that you contact us to discuss.
18-20 years*: May attend a private lesson or a group class with a parent or guardian, but may only shoot with firearms owned by the parent or guardian.
21-69 years: May attend private lessons and/or group classes and may also rent firearms from us for training purposes.
70+ years: May attend a private lesson (no group classes). We don’t ever mean to offend anyone, please trust our judgement on this. Our classes are 7 hours long, usually for two straight days on a weekend, and they can be very strenuous. Our primary focus is always our student’s safety, and we take every precaution to maintain that. If you are over 70, please call our office and we would be happy to discuss a private training regimen that will suit your needs.
*NOTE: We cannot rent firearms to anyone under the age of 21, no exceptions!
Physical Conditions
This kind of training can be strenuous and if a member of ITTS staff determines a student is not physically able to participate in a safe manner then that student may be asked to leave.
Participation while taking any medication or using any substances that may affect my judgment, decision-making or physical ability is not allowed.
Weather
We conduct training in every kind of weather condition. At times it can be very hot, very cold or even raining at the range, but most of the time the weather is California perfect! We make every effort to see that our students are comfortable, but it is very important that everyone dress according to the weather and bring the necessary supplies.
For hot weather – Please wear layers that can be removed, a rimmed cap or hat, bring sunscreen and gallons of water and/or Gatorade. Staying hydrated on a hot day is imperative!
For cold weather – Please wear layers of warm clothes, gloves, a beanie or cap, and warm liquids will keep you comfortable. We suggest water-proof gear with hoods and boots on rainy days. We take many breaks in inclement weather to allow everyone to get cooled down, heated up or dry. We have several propane heaters set up for cold days and our overhang provides cool shelter for those hot and rainy days.
NOTE: Inclement weather is not an excuse not to show up for class, and the rescheduling fee will not be waived if the forecast calls for rainy or hot weather. We train rain or shine, and it is perfectly safe – and fun! We always do our very best to make everyone as comfortable as possible and provide the best training experience for you. We do train on an outdoor range, but we have heaters, water and plenty of cover to use when needed.
Arrivals/Departures
Classes begin promptly at the times listed on our website page. Arrive at the range 30 minutes before the class start time for weekend classes to check-in. For private lessons you can arrive at the time of your lesson to check-in.
If you need to leave the range before the class is over, please let the instructor know in advance so they are not searching for you. If you are not feeling well, please consult our staff for their advice before leaving the range.
If you decide to leave a class early you are not entitled to a refund or any credit for that class. We may make other training arrangements for you at our sole discretion.
International Students
We have many students come to us from all over the world, and we love making new friends. However, we have certain requirements for those who are not U.S. citizens. International students must do the following:

- Complete our new student application.
- Email admin@internationaltactical.com with a brief written statement as to why you would like to attend the specific training you are requesting.
