Immediate Medical Response

Class Overview

Essential Emergency Skills for Protecting Your Loved Ones!

When every second counts, your ability to respond can mean the difference between life and death. This course teaches critical, easy-to-learn medical skills that empower you to act confidently during the most common life-threatening emergencies—long before first responders arrive.

This hands-on, practical training is designed for everyday people—not medical professionals. Whether you’re a parent, partner, friend, or neighbor, you’ll walk away with the confidence to save a life when it matters most.

Immediate Medical Response can be taken in conjunction with our Major Physical Traumas class.  We recommend attending both of them, however, they can be taken in any order as they address different skills.

Subjects

  • CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • How to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • How to respond to choking—the “silent killer” that can strike without warning
  • How to recognize and what to do during a cardiac emergency—the #1 cause of death for both adults and children
  • Recognizing and treating severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)
  • Life-saving response to drug overdoses
  • Ways to spot the most common warning signs of a stroke
  • Drowning and near-drowning response, including rescue breathing
  • And much more…

Equipment

  • A notepad and pen
  • All practice medical supplies (tourniquets, etc) will be provided, but if you are interested in purchasing a high-quality med pack with quality contents, we recommend a med pack with a SOF TOURNIQUET and QuikClot Combat Gauze
  • All other materials will be provided
