Carbine I is a basic class designed for new carbine shooters and for those who have not had any formal training. We cover all the basics of the Carbine including sighting systems, zeroing and targets out to 500 yards.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Defensive Handgun I from ITTS or equivalent from an ITTS recognized school. Current LEO/MIL exempt.
Subjects Covered:
- Carbine set up
- Selection and use of various sighting systems
- Rifle ballistics/cartridge selection
- Basic tenets of rifle marksmanship
- Zeroing
- Target engagement out to 500 yards
- Multiple target engagement
- Malfunction drills
- Varied positional shooting
- Care and cleaning of rifle
Equipment needed:
- Carbine in good working order *
- Sling (1 or 2 point)
- At least 3 spare magazines
- Optics (Optional... iron sights will suffice, but a red-dot sight with a flip-up 3X magnifier or a suitable scope is recommended). Make sure to bring any tools required to make adjustments to your optics!
- Cleaning kit (optional)
- 300-400 rounds (depending on availability - those with less will still be able to fully participate)
*A limited number of rentals are available for each class, so please indicate your need to rent when you sign up for a class either by putting it in the notes section or by calling us at 310-446-1390. For carbine rifle, sniper rifle, or shotgun rentals please call us to confirm they are available.

Student Application Once class tuition has been paid, all new students must complete an online student application prior to training. Returning students that have completed an application within the last year are exempt.
