Class Overview

“Everyone wants to be a sniper until it’s time to do sniper things!”

– Anonymous LAPD SWAT sniper

We have been asked many times over the years for an all-night sniper class. So here is what you have been waiting for….

People tend to think being a sniper is all about extreme long distance shooting, but it’s so much more than that. By the time students attend this class, they should have their fundamentals down and their equipment very squared away, but can they apply what they’ve learned in a real world scenario, in a real outdoor environment, when the pressure is on and a full night’s worth of work comes down to identifying the correct targets and taking a few critical shots. This class is not about putting rounds down range, it’s about the authentic experience of being a sniper.

We keep this class very small compared to our others and we will have a strict cap on it. Once you see it posted on our Class Schedule we suggest you sign up immediately if this is a class you’ve been waiting for.

Subjects

You will learn how to successfully apply precision rifle skills under adverse conditions, in the dead of night, with an emphasis on how to set up and negotiate precise shots, while moving through brush using dead space, calculating distance, low crawling into position, working with a drag bag, eliminating muzzle blast signature and using indigenous terrain and brush to make shots without giving away your position. At some point during the night you will be briefed on a mission that you must successfully complete by first light and for which you will be broken into spotter/sniper teams. Teams will start from an undisclosed location and have to move through the night into a final firing position without being compromised. At precise pre-determined times, teams will have to successfully engage a series of targets without being spotted, using movement and stalking techniques.

This course will draw upon the sniper’s skill, patience, stamina and mental acuity to engage in realistic scenarios under extreme low level light conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

That is entirely up to you. The instructors will provide an objective for you to complete by the morning. You will be tasked with moving across a large property in a given amount of time, so what you do with that time is your call! Should you decide to take a snooze, just make sure pack what you need in your rucksack, but remember that everything you pack will add weight. These considerations are all part of the experience!

Not at all. This class is about far more than shooting. If you will be disappointed by a low round count then this is not the class for you, we completely understand.

YES. By the time you take this class you should have a squared away rifle, optics and ammo you trust and are familiar with. The same goes for all of your other gear.

We don’t sell ammunition to those who are bringing their own firearm to class, they will need to supply their own. If you need help figuring out where to purchase ammunition, check out our Industry Partners!

We only provide ammunition to students who are renting firearms from us for the sole purpose of training.
