Our Locations
Private Outdoor Range
Sylmar, CA
Our live-fire training is conducted in the privacy of our outdoor range nestled in the beautiful mountains of the Angeles National Forest. The range is just 40 minutes from the Los Angeles International Airport, 25 minutes from the 405/Sunset and 20 minutes from the Burbank Airport.
Our one-of-a kind equipment has been designed and fabricated for us and includes a high speed moving target system, a knife attack system which simulates real world closing speed, an articulating hostage target system, reactive armor, lighting systems, a shoot house, a jungle trail and much more.
Private Indoor Facility
Brentwood, CA
Our Simulator training as well as many of our lecture based classes are held at our indoor facility in West Los Angeles. It’s conveniently located for many of our students!
Offsite Training
WE'LL COME TO YOU
We take our training all over the world. We will bring our instructors to your location and work within your budget to put together a program specifically designed for your needs. From a group of 12 civilians to an agency with hundreds of people, we have the ability to scale all of our offerings. From hostage rescue and SWAT schools to basic handgun classes, we will create a curriculum tailored to your objectives.
Our Off-Site classes are for private civilian groups or law enforcement agencies. If you are interested in hosting training with ITTS please contact us for more information.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is your range open to the public, can I just come shoot on my own?
We are not a public range where you can just drop in. All of our training, whether it’s a group class on the weekend or a Private Lesson during the week, is scheduled ahead of time.
Do I need to bring an ID to the range?
Yes, in order to check in at the range prior to your class or private lesson you will have to present a valid government photo ID.
If you are not a US resident you will have to bring your passport and there will be other requirements as well. Non-US residents should contact our office for further details.
How far is the range from LA areas and Airports?
Distance from the Brentwood: 25 minutes (23 miles)
Distance from the Beverly Hills: 34 minutes (27 miles)
Distance from Hollywood: 25 minutes (21 miles)
Distance from the Calabasas: 30 minutes (28 miles)
Distance from Burbank Airport (BUR): 21 minutes (11 miles)
Distance from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): 41 min (38 miles)
Any good hotels in the area?
Thankfully, our range is very accessible from most anywhere in the greater Los Angeles area (see the question above) so that opens up endless options for hotels. If proximity to the range is a priority, then we recommend looking at hotels in Burbank, CA. But otherwise, anywhere from Santa Monica to Hollywood would work well and be a great area to stay in for other things to do in addition to training with us!
Will I be able to use a Ride-Share service (Uber, Lyft, etc.) to and from classes?
Absolutely! We have students do that all of the time.
Do you sell food or do I need to bring my own; and do you have a refrigerator and/or microwave?
Unfortunately, we do not sell food, nor do we have a microwave or refrigerator at the range because it is an outdoor facility. We suggest packing a sack lunch (or dinner if it’s a night class). Many people bring small coolers if they need to keep something cold.
What’s the weather like at your range?
It’s California so thankfully a majority of the year it’s really beautiful weather! But in the winter we do have a few rainy days here and there and during the summer it can get hot. We always recommend checking the weather ahead of your class so you can wear weather appropriate clothing.
In the winter we suggest dressing in layers and in the summer we recommend long sleeves, but light clothing and a hat.
